The president and two committee members authorised the emergency repairs and work commenced immediately.

The water level in the pool was reduced by approximately three feet to relieve pressure on a leaking filter and the drains at the bottom of the pool were sealed enabling work to commence.

The leak on the outside was found to be a fractured pipe which was excavated and replaced. A defective filter within the pump house was replaced and a new one installed. Extensive amendment to the internal pipework was necessary and several leaking valves replaced.

The work took place between the 18th and 26th January and was necessary to keep the pool operational. At times four workmen from the Cortado team (Piscina Specialists) and two from our regular maintenance team were present.
